【Trekking & View】 A trek from Mt.Shoutou-san, through Mt.Kayamaru, to Wada-douge Pass. (Kanagawa-Tokyo pref.)

I hike the course from Mount Takao to Mount Jinba almost every year, but with my lack of energy and stamina, I couldn't extend my hike further northwest from Mount Jinba.

Then, in October 2021, as I approached 60, I decided I wanted to see what lay beyond Mount Jinba. Of course, I didn't have the energy or stamina to hike continuously, so I decided to start from Mount Shoutou, beyond Wada Pass, and hike back to Wada Pass. (Nihedon @ KesaranPasaran Lab)

★Mt.Shoutou-san is great !★
The entrance to the trailhead.
Walking through the forest.
Water called "Kanzou-sui" springs here
A stone monument trelated to Hayagriva

This is the summit of Mt. Mikuni. The view wasn't anything special, though.

This is the summit of Mt. Kofuji. Be careful, as there is a slightly steep rocky area just before this point!

★Walk through the forest, climb the cliffs, and enjoy the spectacular views.★
While taking a detour is easier, if you want to enjoy the spectacular views, I recommend going straight!

If you don't take the detour and instead climb to the higher ground, you can enjoy such a wonderful view!

Walkinge through the forest again.

★And then to Wada Pass★

I finally made it to the shop at Wada Pass.

There were lots of "cyclists" resting there who had actually cycled all the way up from Jinba Kogen-shita.

To cycle all the way up these mountain roads... there are some amazing people in the world!

We'll keep going downhill all the way to the "Jinba Kogen-shita bus stop".

When I'm heading from Mt.Takao to Mt.Jinba and then coming down, I always join this path from here.

It's still quite a distance from here to the Jinba Kogen-shita bus stop, lol.

ACCESS :

The trailhead is about a 20-minute taxi ride from JR Fujino Station.
