【Trekking & View】 Bandai-Azuma Skyline (Fukushima pref.)

The Bandai-Azuma Skyline is a toll road approximately 29km long connecting Takayu Onsen and Tsuchiyu Pass. It's a "road in the sky" that runs at a maximum altitude of 1,622m, and the impact is so strong that you might wonder, "Is this really on Earth?"
If you open the window, you'll be hit with a rather strong sulfurous smell, and in some places there are signs that practically scream, "Don't get out!" All of this contributes to the otherworldly charm of this driving course. (Nihedon @ KesaranPasaran Lab)

*Due to heavy snowfall in the region, the road is closed during winter, and is open from early April to mid-November.

The entrance to the Sky Road: "Tsubakuro Valley"

The smell of sulfur is very strong. It's probably dangerous.

The time when snow remains is truly magical.
This is a photograph of the "crater" of "Azuma-Kofuji," which will be discussed later.

★Jododaira Rest House★

This is a colorful and soft confectionary from Aizu.

"Egoma Pork Bowl" uses pork raised on a special diet. It's truly delicious.

★Mount Azuma-Kofuji★

This is Mount Azuma-Kofuji, located directly in front of the Jododaira Rest House. I think you can fully enjoy it if you spend about an hour going up and down the mountain.

This is the "crater" of Mount Azuma-Kofuji. (It's called "ohachi" in Japanese.)

The view from here is also magnificent.

ACCESS :
