【Trekking & View】  Touno-hetsuri (Fukushima pref.)

"Hetsuri" is an Aizu dialect word meaning "cliff, precipice, steep slope, riverbank," etc.

I think this "T?-no-Hetsuri" truly embodies the "refreshing" and "rugged" qualities that the people of Aizu possess.    (Nihedon @ KesaranPasaran Lab)

This is a children's version of the "J? no Okite," a set of rules and regulations for samurai in Aizu.

The final line means "What is forbidden is forbidden," is a classic Aizu motto.

「山椒魚」means "A "salamander" . In this region, salamanders are eaten using unique cooking methods.

Aizu has declared itself "the place with the best-tasting sake in Japan"!

The Aizu Railway Aizu Line, the only railway line running through this area, is a single track!

Since there are few trains, please check the timetable before you visit.

●car: Approximately 50 minutes from Aizu-Wakamatsu IC on the Ban-etsu Expressway; approximately 60 minutes from Shirakawa IC on the Tohoku Expressway.

●train: Approximately 5 minutes on foot from Tonohetsuri Station on the Aizu Line.
