yTown & Gourmetz@ A sweet treat made by wrapping "Peaches" in "Shiso leaves". (Fukushima pref.)

I stumbled upon this on my way back from a trekking trip in the mountains of Fukushima, and honestly, at first, my brain couldn't process the combination of "Peach and Shiso (perilla)".

But I was surprised when I tasted it. The sweetness of the "Candied Peach" harmonized beautifully with the "Salty Shiso flavorh, and before I even thought "delicious," I was in awe, thinking "this is amazing!"

The surprise of "how such different things can blend together so perfectly!" was the moment my hScientific mindh was fully stimulated! @(Nihedon @ KesaranPasaran Lab)

It seems no one has noticed yet, but the "Plum and Shiso Roll" is a "Japanese bar menu" item!

This "Peach and Shiso Roll" is a sweet treat, but it's also a perfect accompaniment to alcohol.

You might easily imagine it pairing well with whiskey, but because the aroma and flavor of shiso permeate it, it also goes well with chilled sake ( like "Aizu Chujo : Fukushima's Sake").

It also goes very well with other spirits like hGinh.
